Cripes! is that the best they could do? Hopefully they were warning
shots and they wern't serious. But if they WERE serious, then there's
a real problem going down.

Mr. Cain has not identified the driver of his vehicle, nor has he ever
explained why he wanted to shoot Mr. David, Crown attorney Eric Taylor
said.

Defence lawyer Cameron MacKeen said his client told him the shooting
"was a spontaneous act regarding issues in the community."

"It wasn’t premeditated," Mr. MacKeen said. "He regrets it . . . and
he accepts responsibility for it.

"There is in Mr. Cain’s future the possibility of rehabilitation. This
is a young man who has the chance to turn his life around."


Judge Murphy said it’s "very disturbing that the motivation for the
shooting is unclear."
