I'm familiar with his work - he is a brilliant man.

I don't buy into his hypothesis entirely though. While human
interaction may bend to certain rules governing how people,
governments and cultures will respond to certain stimuli, human
psychology is still largely unexplored and random events can take a
well constructed game strategy and blow it all up.

Plus, I'm always suspicious of mathematical constructs that are 90%
accurate.

It's my philosophy that the Universe likes to play games with mere
mortals and, at least for now, the Universe is unknowable in the same
sense that a Supreme Being is unknowable. What de Mesquita is doing
is playing at being God and those who do, mostly get theirs in the
end.
