Could be. I assume 4.5 liters per Imperial gallon or 135 liters. Thats a
pretty small tank. What stainless? What hatch? What fittings? I just made 2
tanks out of 316TI 3mm plate. One tank 643 liters and the 2nd 454 liters.
The plate cost me $2,000 US. Access hatch $360 ea. plus flanges, fittings,
bolts, washers and nuts. Add to that 60 liters of Argon, 20 lbs of rod and
200 man hours. 600 Canadian could be dirt cheap!
Or not...
I did my best to avoid breaking it to you guys...but both of you could
have bought TOP quality thick-walled plastic tanks that would last as
long as your boats for less than $200 USD from Ronco Plastics...who has
more than 50 shapes to choose from between 28-35 gallons AND install
fittings in the sizes and location specified by the customer when they
make the tank. I'd bet real money that at least one one of 'em would
have fit.
Maybe he needed a custom shape. Maybe he wanted a stainless tank.
Around here this kind of work is $70 an hour. Depending on the
details the price could be quite reasonable
