The simple answer is that he can't. His posting is a mirror into his
mind. He needs psychiatric intervention but refuses because he can't
acknowledge that he is so out of touch with reality. He insists that his
wife/girlfriend/landlady is a Doctor trained to deal with psychiatric
and psychological defects. Why hasn't she insisted that he get help?
