He just pulled out of Port Louis, Mauritius yesterday and already has had
to turn around to return to port because another piece of vital equipment
broke. This time his iPod won't play.


According to his blog, that's a flat out fabrication. Even if it were true,
at least he left which there is absolutely no evidence of your ever having
done even once.
