coast, but a long way from the better sailing areas ... France isn't too

WRT not taking the tales told on this newsgroup as the best way of
"doing it", I do take what I read with a pinch of salt - and in some
cases a liberal sprinkling. Reading some discussions that go on I find
some peoples attitudes seem slap-dash, while others go so far to the
other extreme sailing almost seems a secondary activity. But the
contrast does make me think about the problem/situation or whatever it
is, and I hope I'm intelligent enough that when I come to be in a
similar situation I'm able to make a sensible decision.

What is the Mahina report you mentioned? I did a quick Google and
couldn't figure out to what you were referring.
