What for? There are plenty of ways to serve one's country; the military is
only one of them, and no more valid or important than many of the others.

Obama lived in the United States until he was six, and then spent about
four years in Indonesia. At the age of 10, he returned to his birthplace,
Hawaii, to live until he was graduated from high school. After that, he
attended college and settled in the continental United States.

What point are you trying to make by repeatedly harping upon the four
years Obama lived in Indonesia? To any rational, educated person, that
would be a plus. There's nothing quite like living in an entirely
different culture to open your mind.
