Default quick car rack question...... HandiRack

I have been using this on a couple of small cars for boats up to 17 feet. I
haven't tried it with our 22 foot tandem.

It is quick, fool proof, INEXPENSIVE, but not cheap.

I strongly advise using bow and stern tie-downs, though (belt and
suspenders) because it isn't as solid or permanent as a bolt on.

Both of these sites have very good info.

Hi,

I have been reading and reading in this group and elsewhere for info,
but I still need some clarification regarding exactly which rack to buy
for my 1992 honda accord station wagon. (canoes)

I walked out to the car and peeled up the plastic strip on the roof and
found threaded stubs sticking up where a rack would mount.

I desire to purchase a used rack, will any yakima or thule rack that is
"non-gutter" work? If not, which ones in particular? I think I will
then need to purchase the correct honda kit for it, yes?

Some one in this group did not use an extender kit for their honda
station wagon rack and their boats came flew off. What is the extender
kit?

Would something like the rack below work?:

Thanks! I would feel weird asking a Yakima rep when I plan to buy it
used.

Sincerely, Tor

OK, maybe not so quick of a question.
