Given that I was wing and wing, by the time I'd gotten turned I'd have
been in irons, thrown over (prevented main, poled genny), and there
was less than a minute available before it became apparent he wasn't
going to respond.

So, instead I showed him an entire boat (all the lights). Whether or
not he saw me, before then or never, was moot; nobody answered the
phone...
