Not just a few, but most of the two camps ads follow these differing
strategies. Pretty big difference. I have to admire Obama's effort
to connect personally.

I actually haven't seen that many of the national candidate ads, but I
do pay attention to the various statements the candidates are making for
public consumption. McCain seems to contradict himself between the
morning and the afternoon, and for a guy who claims he wants to be on
the high road, he sure spends a lot of time trying to trash his opponent.

The race is still too close for me to feel comfortable to make my
typically worthless call, but...I have been pleasantly surprised by
Obama's cool demeanor and put off by McCain's hotheadedness. The two
couldn't be more different, personality-wise. Frankly, the idea of Quick
Draw McCain in the White House is scary.
