Doesn't matter really. I think Pelosi wanted the bill to fail to
look bad for McCain. My thoughts on the bill.
So she made the Republicans mad, and they decided to punish the
country to get back at her.

It's not a fun week to be John McCain -- or any Republican. They've
gone looney.

Actually, McCain is being McCain - short-tempered, blaming others, no
deliberative abilities.

John McCain was a fighter pilot with all the attributes that requires.
Understand the job requirements then compare that with what you want in
a president. Do you want reaction or contemplation in international
affairs. Do you want a man who's first response is to attack with his
finger on the Nuclear Button? Do you want a man who first wants to
"win" at any cost?

My experience with USAF fighter pilots indicates that profession should
deny a jock from the presidency. Navy fighter pilots are storied to be
worse. Carrier fighter pilots the most reactionary, extreme,
uncontrollable of all. That should be of concern in the office of
President.

I agree completely. Further, I believe I read in one of the books about
McCain that he blames himself for getting himself shot down over Vietnam,
because of too much bravado, macho, or ego.

We've had eight years of the White House being occupied by a man not known
for contemplation. We're all suffering the results of that.

There's no place for someone quick on the trigger in the White House.
There's just too much at stake and too many ways to make really serious
errors.

I think the last few weeks have been revealing and educational for those
Americans who are actually thinking about which of the two candidates has
the intelligence and temperament to be President of the United States.
Obama or Biden can handle the job. McCain shoots from the hip and Palin,
well, I don't think she has the qualifications to run an ice cream shop.

Agreed but please note that I do not support Obama either. McCain/Palin
are flat-assed dangerous and Obama/Biden are socialists. I don't want
either in the White House.

The Republicans will lose the presidential electorate by about 62% to 30%
with Nader and Barr picking up a few electoral college votes. It's going
to be a run-away as voters begin to recognize the danger of McCain/Palin.

That saddens me for the state of the nation is so badly torn that diddling
with little stuph isn't going to fix fundamental problems. Obama wants a
socialist state with government ordered income redistribution. We've seen
where this leads with the Republicans tranferring massive middle-class
wealth to the rich. Obama will do the opposite, transfer massive middle
and upper class wealth to the poor.

Only when people realize that both parties are corrupt, sneer at their
oaths of office, and work for special interests will America recover.
I certainly hope not but that may require the use of the Second Amendment
to enforce.
