"Simply put, this week has demonstrated a key point -- when the going
gets
tough, the Republicans become socialists."
It looks a lot more like the usual (and not unexpected) repub
favors, cronyism, nepotism, corporate welfare & fascism to me.
And, as usual, out of the pockets of "not the wealthy backers
& lobbiests".
And the buck stops WHERE?
Where is "taking responsibility"? On vacation again?

We are the party of small government
Actually, this week simply added to the the end of this claim. Under
Bush II,
discretionary spending has increased from $640 billion to $1.040
trillion
dollars.

Is there anything left of the old Republican philosophy? It seems to be
entirely in the crapper.
The Repugs are now trying to blame low-income minority families for the
mortgage bust. That wasn't what created the crisis. What was done with the
loans after they were packaged, sold and used to make leveraged plays was
the problem.

ACORN mean anything to you?
Is it part of the Bush Administration's slaughter of the free market
economy?

Part of the Dems attack on democracy and the free market economy.
Even now, Barney Frank keeps pushing for more no collateral loans
knowing that as long as they are around the mortgage market cannot
recover. Obama has been given large amounts of money by Fannie Mae,
Freddie MAc and Lehman Brothers
McCain's campaign manager has been a $30,000 a month lobbyist for
Freddie and Fannie. How's them apples?
