Gelcoat staining
The chalking you can get rid of by buffing with 3m's brown buffing compound,
followed by their white clear coat polish. I don't know if that will get rid
of the staining, but if it doesn't, you can try FSR. It's a blue gel with
oxalic acid that I've used to remove stains from fiberglass, even the brown
crud that builds up in exhaust tubes. Be sure to follow up with a good wax,
like Collinite fleetwax paste.

Hello,
I've recently purchased a six year old 34ft jeanneau. Whilst
generally the boat is in very good shape I do have some fairly bad
yellow staining on the gelcoat topsides. Also there is a large amount
of chalking effect which is probably caused by the strong UV light in
Spain.
Does anyone know of a company/product that could remove the staining
and chalking without grinding??
Thanks Peter.
