Bush cancels trip to focus on economy
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush has canceled a trip to Alabama and
Florida on Thursday to work with advisers on the country's economic
struggles, the White House announced.
President Bush plans to huddle with his economic advisers Thursday to
discuss the country's financial woes.
The president will also make a statement on the economy outside of the
Oval Office at 10:15 a.m. ET, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
Bush will "emphasize that he and his administration are continuing to
work on efforts to promote stability in the markets," Perino said.

As part of that huddle, the economic advisers will use glass jars and
pennies to demonstrate to Our President some of the "fundamentals" in
terms he might understand. With a lot of repetition.
