Snake rafting trips 1/2 or 1 day
Just got off Hells Canyon over Labor Day. Ran into day trip group from
Hells Canyon Adventures that paddle all the big rapids from the dam
about 18 miles or so, then are picked up by jet boat and taken back to
put in at dam. Would be a terrific day trip. Google Hells Canyon
Adventures web site.

We're planning a trip to NE Oregon at the end of August and need tips
on where to find outfitters for a 1/2 or 1 day raft trip on the
Snake. We're circling from La Grande, so coming down from Wallowa
Lake, it looks like there's a town called Homestead on the Snake
nearby, maybe others?
Just looking for tips... have spent quite a while in Google and all we
can turn up is camping trips for several days and hundreds of dollars
which is not exactly what we're after; we need a river ride for part
of /most of a day and then we move on to our other destinations on the
trip.

We just did Hell's Canyon on the Snake this summer. There are no
short paddle/rowing trips available there. You might want to consider
crossing into Idaho and doing the one of the full or half-day trips on
the Lower Salmon out of Stanley Idaho. We passed these on our way
home and they look like fun.
