Use a hand held GPS on the beach to get a precise fix. If you can
pin point the house on Google Earth that will give you exact Lat/Lon
also.

If the wind pipes up out of the nor'east you will have some exciting
moments coming and going from the beach. I'd suggest towing the
dinghy so you don't have to worry about launching it in the swells.
Ours can be a real bear to control if the boat is rolling and the
dinghy is in the air.


Good idea on towing the dink. The majority of the trip will be about 45
minutes through the Canal at 10 kts or less anyway. But, then again, with a
N or NE wind and no mooring block, I don't think I'd try leaving the boat
just offshore his house on anchors only. I am sure you are familiar with
what happens
at that end of Cape Cod Bay after a couple of days of stiff NE winds.
