Nothing wrong with that. But to me, I always enjoyed having a boat
permanently in a slip, even the smaller boats.
My first ocean boat was a 20 or 22 foot (forget which) Regal with a cuddy
cabin. That was back in 1994. Slips are hard to come by in this area and I
was fortunate enough to be offered one, so I grabbed it. Once you have one,
you keep it each season until you give it up or outgrow it. I only had
that boat for one season, then "upgraded" to an old 26' Century Express.
Had a lot of fun with that boat, even though it had many problems requiring
attention, and never quite ran right. It had a cozy cabin, head, small
galley, etc. After a day of boating, returning to the slip and "camping"
overnight was very enjoyable. Dock neighbors were always around and we had
a good time. Of course I was 14 years younger at the time and could handle
the nightly dock parties.
Now, I watch TV and fall asleep.

Went through a succession of ever increasing sized boats .... until we maxed
out with the Navigator at 52' LOA. Took that to Florida at the end of the
first season of ownership and the trip was probably one of the most
challenging but totally enjoyable adventures I've ever done. I'll always
have warm memories of that voyage. I was a newbie to larger boats and to
open ocean and ICW navigation. It was quite the learning experience.

Don't know what the future may hold. The boat I have now is not really
ideal for long range cruising, but is fine for day trips to the Vineyard or
to fairly nearby destinations. I still totally enjoy just being on it, at
the slip, for a couple of days at a time though.

Sorta like camping, but with much more comfort and privacy.

If you enjoy it, that's what counts. My wife and I are having a kick with
the new trailer. We went to an RV show in Baltimore today. Saw a lot of
nice RVs, but nothing I couldn't do without. Roadtrek had it's new
Sprinter based class B there, which was beautiful. The same dealer was
selling the Fleetwood Icon, another Sprinter based motorhome.

yours. It was priced about the same as the Fleetwood.

I asked the salesman why the Class B was the same price as the Class C,
which had more room, amenities, etc. His answer was, "Because the Roadtrek
can be parked anywhere, whereas the Fleetwood violates restrictions in a
lot of areas." Interesting. He would have been correct in my neighborhood.
