As I see it, our system works pretty good most of the time but could be
much better if the federal gov't paid their fair share. Small, poorer
provinces with aging populations , like Nova Scotia, struggle with the
financial burden.
It's cheaper too. US health care cost amount to over 15% GDP. Canada's
are less than 10% GDP.
I can get an MRI tomorrow if I need to. How long will it take to get an
MRI in Canada?
I can go see my Dr's tomorrow if I need to. How long will it take to get
an appointment and then how many months away will that appointment be in
Canada?
It is like the guys from the Soviet Union who defected to the US of A
back in the 60's and 70's and found out that our stores, all across the
country, really were full products. All you had to do was go in, get
what you wanted, take it to the cashier, pay for it, and walk out the
door with it.
