With the fans, the car is a DC motor and the window is AC.
Starting

As for the bits ..... isn't 2 "bits" a quarter?
But you can take a window fan and set it on "low" , plug it in,
and it
starts up jjust fine, though...
True, but it's not particularly good for the motor. Ideally, it
should
start up on "high" to give max torque using all the windings of
the
motor.
Then, it can be turned down. Not a big deal though ... most fans
can
handle it. I forget the mechanical stuff, but it takes something
like
3
times the amount of power to get something in motion than it does
to
maintain that motion.

Harry has taken some beautiful photos of drain plugs. You really should go
look at them. The comments about his granddaughter's photo (or whoever,
whatever, whenever, if he took it, quibbling ****...) must have made an
impact. He's given thought to the proper use of lighting and backgrounds.
He's even using depth of field in imaginative ways.

Last time I looked over at Chuck's, there wasn't much going on. WAFA and DR.
Hurtdick were keeping very quiet. I don't think Donny has even figured out
how to log on to the site. I think Chuck has finally figured out how to keep
the stooges from mucking up the place. Glad you had a good time on vacation.
