You are making me glad that we decided to stay south this summer and
go to the Bahamas. No fog in the Exuma Islands but they have their
own charm.
For what it's worth, I have usually found August to be better weather
in Maine.
I lost a lot of respect for lobstermen 3 years ago up in Bar Harbor.
We were there four weeks, and they've got quite the group of hard
drinking, loud mouth bozos running around.

Bar Harbor is a tourist trap/frat party. If you wanted to visit a nice
place in that area by boat, you would have stayed on the "quiet side"
in Bass Harbor. Then you would have been the loudest, drunkest bozo.
