In most cases the difference between a 10hp and a 15hp o/b is the
carburetor. So buy a used running 10hp and a 15hp carb swap, tune, install,
and have fun. Should take about 4 hours total. How long will your conversion
take to design, build, de-bug, break-down, get towed or row in, fix and try
again and again.

engine is going to cost at least half of your $100.ca per hp. then there
is
the trani, shaft, rudder, shaft log, thrust bearing. How much time will it
take? How reliable will it be? Used O/B still your better option even if

costs $1000.ca
