The fender line devices are handy, but, IMO, a Clove Hitch is just as fast
and adjustable.
Personally, I don't do it like in the pictures attached. I tie them to the
vertical sections of the rail, near the base.

Off to Home Depot now to practice.
Going to buy some drywall and planks to tie to the top of my car.
