Altar boy? Choir boy? Priest? Bishop? How do those jobs pay?

Casady

Why do you want to know? LOL

When I was a choirboy it paid an ammount equal, maybe greater than the
paltry allowence I got. Importantant dough, in other words,.Three
bucks a month. This when cigs, paperbacks, magazines were a quarter.

Must be some modern sort of thing. when I was a lad, Altar Boy was
considered by those who were as an honor position and done for the
benefit of your soul, not for filthy lucre :-)

I was an unpaid Altar Boy at one time. It was the choir that got paid.

Goodness. When I was young the choir was also voluntary - of as much
as a spotty teen ever got to volunteer which pretty much consisted of
Mother saying to the Choir Mistress that "Bruce will be trying out for
the choir". I didn't pass the test and so rather then choir practice I
had some time for sin and games :-)

Had they paid perhaps I'd a sang on tune :-)
