You need to look at the photo again, but this time put on your glasses.
There is definitely an optical illusion, see if you can figure it out.

Maybe 4" of freeboard at the stern between the top of the motor transom
and the water level, and a small motor well. In any sort of following
sea, you'll get pooped, the water will rush over the motor well, fill
it, and pour into the cockpit.
