We have an older Lectra/San. It was working fine then all of a sudden
we had to double the salt added per flush. From less than 1/2-cup to
1-cup. I cleaned it twice with muratic acid. Once as per the manual,
then later with twice the concentration and leaving it twice the time.
Seemed to help some.
It seems this happened about the same time we started having a bunch
of oil. fuel and maybe chemical spills. We had one where it looked
like oil, clutch oil and diesel fuel making a rather thick covering on
the water. Someone threw a cigarette butt in the water and it
"sparkled" and hissed!!!!
If this could be the case, electordes coated with oil, is it okay to
pump some Joy through it. I'm thinking to pull the fuse for the
electrodes so the motors can stir things up. Of course a good flushing
before applying power to the electrodes.
Thanks in advance,
Rick
