No one puts or sucks anything into/from our boat but under my direct
supervision. I know exactly what caps hide what, and the plates are
marked indelibly for any who can read English.

Stainless caps last pretty much forever. Plastic, in a word, doesn't. (I
had to cut out an old one far younger than our fuel and water plates.)


My neighbor, the fuel polisher, had to remove water from the same
fuel tank twice in three weeks. Same owner mistakenly put water in twice.
