Jesse Jackson is the spokesman for black people. While Obama was studying
Islam in Indonesia, Jackson cradled the dying Martin Luther King in his
arms.
While Obama was having fun in high school, Jackson negotiated the release of
captured American aviators (who wrecked their planes) in the Middle East.
Jackson has not held political office, his funding comes from voluntary
private donations. Unlike politians, he has no influence to sell to the
highest bidder.
Reverend Jackson (who never preached "God damn America!") has been involved
in America's social change for decades.
Jackson may retract his statements for political/social reasons but what
does he truly think? What do other blacks think?
