remove the heavy stuff.

Heat gun and scraper. Quick and easy once you get the pattern down. Preheat
about a foot, go back and do a few inches at the beginning until you just
see bubbles. Scrape as you bubble the next section so heat blows on the
scraper blade. Comes right off with very little sanding needed. I tried
strippers and it made a hell of a mess. The cooled stuff cleans up easily
with a vacuum and you can start sanding immediately instead of rinsing and
drying.
