I'm thinking of getting out of the contract cell phone plan and getting a
prepaid plan. T-Mobile, for example, sells 1000 minutes for $100 and
they're good for a year.

Does anyone here have a prepaid mobile phone? If so, with whom and how do
you like it?

The coverage available with T-Mobile is not the same as that available
with the contract cell phone. You need to verify the coverage for the
prepaid plan and make sure it is adequate for where you will be spending
most of your time.

Looking at the map, the prepaid plan, which isn't eligible for the 850 MHz
Roaming Coverage seems to leave a lot of gaps. But, it also seems Vic has
been getting pretty good service.

Right now we seldom use the cell phone, but send in that damn $40 each
month to AT&T. Thanks for the map and the coverage info. It's nice when
someone thinks before putting their mouth in gear.
