......what is the fuel burn rate on your boat?

I have a Glastron GS209 powered by a single 4.3L 190 HP engine. I
tracked the fuel burn for several months and it generally
calculated out each time to be between 2.5 GPH and 3 GPH.

55 GPH at 25 Kts (Not worth the speed)
40 GPH at 21 Kts (Clean Plane, best cruise speed)
25 GPH at 11 Kts (Wahoo trolling at ALMOST plane...worst fuel economy
) 5 GPH at 5 Kts (most economical... also the speed most likely to
cause a mutiny)

48 Ocean 1991 671 TIB + 12.5 KW genset running

The ketch uses about 5 gallons per week to cruise the Atlantic Coast and
Caribbean. That's just for heating shower water and entering port if the
wind isn't right. $10/gallon is still reasonable for sailors.

If anyone is in a hurry, I suggest they FLY. God I hate to be at sea
with them....That sucks!

The wind dies, they go crazy worrying about getting somewhere. How
stupid! We're at sea! It's PARTY TIME until the wind comes back up! I
get to eat something WITHOUT bread on either side of it!...(c;

I get to SLEEP!....AHHH.....(C;
