Who is "we'? I was born in Connecticut, and spent all of my springs,
summers, and early falls living along the shore. So did a lot of other
people. I never heard that term. My "bestest" boyhood chum lives near
Pond Point, Milford, in a nice old Victorian, and I'll bet he never
heard that term, either. He's a native of Waterbury, went to Brown in
Rhode Island, and lived most of his life along the shoreline there.
I thought you lived way inland, far away from the Sound.
