Thanks Tom .. it is a bit of a struggle here with a shortage of
nursing beds.
I don't know what they'll do with all us baby boomers... maybe build a
tent city out on the Halifax Commons.... or a 'temporary military
barracks' such as we had lots of after WW2.
I'm glad you found what you needed. We recently lost a 99-year-old
relative who fortunately was self-reliant and capable and almost
completely without medical problems until the very end, so she was able to
live at home with one of her daughters. Feisty lady, red hair, dancer, and
she walked a mile or more each day.
Sounds like my dad.
Didn't even have a family doctor. In his last 5 or so years he spent one
day in the hospital...his last.
No nursing homes for him.
