I noticed that the water at Lake Lanier had risen enough so the boat
ramps were actually open again. I was curious as to the actually water
level, and the lake is now above the previous low water levels. Since
the multi religious and non religious prayers for rain seemed to have
worked, would everyone now pray for a few tropical depression to stall
over the North Ga mountains.

It was up almost six feet before this latest round of rain. It'll take
a few days to see where we're at now, but it's certainly getting
better!

I had no idea what a small area of North Georgia Watershed drains into
Lake Lanier. It looks like less than 5% of the North GA area actually
drains into Lake Lanier. Most of North Georgia Mountains watershed goes
to Alabama or the Savannah River.
