Hi folks.
Just wanted to know if there are any known online resources with
respect to pirates. No, not the peg leg eye patch kind, but the real
kind on the water. I want to investigate how real these stories are
that I hear about.
If you ask over is rec.boats.sailing, you'll probably find some live
discussion about them. a couple or three years ago, I'd say, there
were some people tha were aproached by latter-day pirates, and fended
themselves with shotguns. Not sure though.
But a sail ship cald "Gandolf the Green" comes to mind....
I would prefer just killing them outright.
As in an RPG smack dab in the middle of the boat.
Leave the survivors to the sharks.
Unfortunately I don't own such items, and I asked at the drugstore
today, and they are out too.
Roll your own. :)
Pretty easy to make a nice, nasty Molotov Cocktail only instead of
gas, use gun powder. Sweeten that with some roofing nails, a few
pieces of magnesium, 'ya got 'cha some elementary RPG material.
Some surgical tubing to launch and just let 'em get close enough -
wham, bam, thank you mam - toasted pirates.
I was wondering why so many pirates lost a leg...their slingshot failed
and the "nasty Molotov" fell to the deck and blew up. Homebrew Molotovs
won't hack it.
If you want to ward off pirates, get yourself a heavy-duty fully
automatic rifle, preferably a reliable Soviet Avtomat Kalashnikova model
1947 with a 75-round drum mag or a Barrett semi-auto that shoots .50
BMG. The .50 BMG will hole a hull at and below the waterline and
penetrate an engine. Avoid the "modern" U.S. automatic assault rifles
like the plague. Too finicky.
