Richard, I think you're talking about "Jay Turser" which is a seperate
company that produces under license from Fender. The Turser quality is
a lot better than it used to be. *They make some really good knock-
off's.

I am sure you are correct. *My eyes don't always communicate 100 percent
with my head.
The owner of the shop said they were good guitars for the price .... made in
China.

Go to that link I sent you last week and look at the thread about
"Cheap guitars blow me away lately". A bunch of guys have bought very
cheap guitars, done a new pickup and such, and seem to be very pleased
with the quality of the body's necks and such. Lot's of good info in
that thread, you can buy a licenced or not, made in china or mexico,
drop in a set of pickups, and love it.
