Then you are obviously in the upper middle class range.
Due to the regressive nature of SS tax, the highest tax rate is right at
the SS cap. After you go over that your tax rate starts to go back down,
slowly, but the rate does go down.
That is why I think they should eliminate the SS cap - then it would be
the first true flat tax.


I agree...every damned dollar of income should be subject to SS taxation.

Not to mention an additional tax to pay for the war/reconstruction in iraq &
elsewhere.
Why stick future generations with this expense.
