I think I had more fun on the old wooden rowboat my grandfather gave me
when I was 8....than I did all the boats I've ever owned or even just
sailed away on, since.

I pulled my jetboat up to a public dock to go get the trailer a couple of
years ago. Sitting in this really old runabout with an old Evinrude
waiting for her daddy to come back from the car was this little girl, in a
PFD, about 7 or 8 years old. "This is my daddy's new boat! Isn't it just
great?!", she couldn't wait to tell me.

At that moment in time, that old runabout was, as anyone could easily see,
the finest yacht in Charleston, even finer than the 102' Italian
motoryachts at the MegaDock! You only had to look into her eyes to see for
yourself.....(c;

I told her dad so on the way up the dock. He looked at me like I was crazy
until I told him what she had said....(c;
