Looks like Junior's got a hot rod today.
Holy crap, did you hear Smoke go nuts on the tires.. I think there
will be some fines coming, what say you Loog?
He blasted them again AFTER the race. Said that he'd never raced on a
tire as bad as that in his career. Then he said, Goodyear bowed out of
IRL, bowed out of Outlaws, and now they need to get out of Spriint
because their tires are "crap"!
Five years ago, the old Busch and ARCA cars ran on Hossier, Goodyear
and Bridgestone tires. *Then Goodyear got the exclusive supplier
contract and it's been downhill ever since.
He's dead on right.

Hoosier was in Winston Cup in the late 80's. Jeff Bodine won four
races in 89 with Hoosiers, and the Daytona 500 was won on Hoosiers
that year by DW. They got out because NASCAR came up with this tire
count rule that said that any tire manufacturer had to bring enough
tires to be able to supply the whole field. That meant that Hoosier
had to bring a couple of thousand tires to each race and couldn't
afford it.
