Looks like Junior's got a hot rod today.
Holy crap, did you hear Smoke go nuts on the tires.. I think there
will be some fines coming, what say you Loog?
The thing is he's dead on right.
Goodyear hasn't made a decent racing tire, even for Cup Cars, in
years.
Look around the smaller NASCAR tracks - Hoosier and
Firestone/Bridgestone - don't see Goodyear tires on anything.
Think nascar will fine him?
Probably. The fact that NASCAR seems to be in the ridiculous fine
business lately, it's more than probable.
Add to that that he's absoutely right. The number of tire related
failures this year has been higher than it's ever been and it's been
high for the past four/five years. Add the new car to the mix (which
I think is a major mistake on the part of NASCAR), the outdated track
surfaces (only two major tracks have been redone this year and one
last year and none for the previous five years) and NASCAR's tendency
to be late to the party on diamond grinding surfaces, you get ****ed
off drivers.
Can't blame 'em.
