US Marine Tachometer
Please no Bayliner Bashing - it's got nothing to do with the boat (I think).
Took the boat out last night only to discover that the tach is reading around
1000rpm at idle. I fiddled with the wires and got no results. Last time
something like this happened, I took it in (under warrenty). Any suggestions
on a fix for a neophyte DYI'er? I really don't want to take it in again (this
time I'd have to pay!)
My first inclination is to say oh well, who needs a tach anyway. The sound of
the engine tells me what I need to know, but if I can repair it myself and
with little or no $, I'd give it a try.
Tach is a US Marine mounted in a 2000 Bayliner 1950 Capri. 3.0L Mercruiser
Alpha I/O.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
