Hi Blair,
First, get out your checkbook. Next make sure you have a good supply of
vasiline before going to the local boat parts store.
If you have never worked with fiberglass yourself, you should concider
paying a professional, or at least getting a book or two on the subject.
Fiberglass is tricky stuff until you get the hang of it.
You can likely have the deck chairs re-covered and re-foamed at the
local auto upholstry shop for a lot less then buying new.
If the boat has had water in it for a long time, you may want to wreck
out the deck, replace the stringers underneath it, and cover over with a
good grade of marine plywood and some spar varnish. (Yes there is a
difference between marine grade and regular exterior plywood. Its the
glue its made from.)
Adding some wood to the boat will give it a classy look too.
