Tom- still shopping? Still considering cats?

A virtually new dealer demo of one of these is for sale at $95,000.
Two big Honda 4 strokes on the back. (they might let you buy just the
boat for less and you could put 2-strokes on instead). Looks like a
heck of a buy, at least to me. But you'd have to tow it home from
Seattle.

Sorry - missed this first time around.

I'm still looking. ?It would appear that I'm going to have to
compromise at some point because of engine selections - the boats I'm
most interested in all seem to be powered the same and dealers are
very reluctant to change engines out.

Can't blame them - I understand that they are in a tight squeeze on
inventories and left overs resulting in not taking on additional
inventory.

With respect to the cats, I still have my concerns about them, but at
this point in the search, I would certainly not turn one down if it's
a deal like this - and this is a good deal.

Is the demo boat set up similar to the one in the photos?

For full details: 206-282-0110. Ask for Roger. Feel free to say that I
referred you if you like. There's nothing in it for me, but I'm on
good terms with the folks at that particular brokerage and it may earn
you some special consideration. (Or not, but it wouldn't hurt).

Will do - I owe you one.

I was down that way this morning and took some photos of the boat for
you. It needs a scrubbing.

Additionally found out, this is a still virtually new 2005 model. Back
in 2005 we had a fellow who set up a business to import Cats from
Australia and New Zealand (where they are extremely popular). In any
event the guy proved the old saying that the best way to make $1mm in
the boat business is to start with $2mm....and get out fast! He sold
three remaining "demo" boats to a local broker when he closed down
about 18 months or so ago, and this the last one left from that batch.

I have been told that through the end of 2008 Honda will activate the
full factory warranty on the motors. A pair of 225HP Honda 4-strokes.
(Then engines alone have to be worth a significant portion of what is
being asked for the boat). The boat itself is still under hull
warranty.

Needs a trailer and electronics, but seems otherwise ready to go. Has
a marine head, sink and double mattress foward, lots of stowage built
into the cockpit. There is a bait well behind the helm chair, and a
big fish box in the transom. Fresh and raw water washdown options,
electric windlass (anchor still has plastic wrap around the shank-
never been used), rocket launchers at aft edge of hardtop, etc.

Send me your valid email address (to my gmail addy) if you would like
to see the snapshots I took of this boat.
