They are fairly stable at speed and in turns - I've had rides on
several cats that have run that fast and they handle as well as any
other boat in their weight and size class.

My concern with cats is the beam stability in heavy seas. In my
experience, which I will admit was a tad extreme, the boat listed at
what I would consider an uncomfortable angle which I attributed to the
twin hulls. In my own opinion, it was considerably more extreme than
a similar size/weight mono-hull.

Having said that, it was an extreme situation and if I had my
druthers, I wouldn't have been in that situation to begin with so that
point may be somewhat moot.
