In the meantime, I came across this one, which 'cheats' a little!

CORN FRITTERS * *

1 c. Bisquick
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 can corn, drained

Combine all ingredients and let stand 5 minutes. Fry in deep hot fat a
teaspoonful for each fritter. Turn when browned on one side. Serve with
syrup or honey.

BTW, do you eat yours with syrup, or is that a yankee thing, like milk on
grits?

man, I'm glad you like 'em.

Me? *ugh!*

Tim! You've got to use decent corn, like Green Giant or something. You
can't expect good results when you get your corn for $1.73 per case.

Maybe that's the problem. Aldi's or Save-A-Lot *cream sweet corn
evidently doesn't work very well.- Hide quoted text -

Sure it does. The evaporated milk is the ticket.....
