I now accept that the NG has been run into the ground by the posers,
flamers, and OT insult hurlers. It isn't going to come back.
Campaigning for this group to be about boating makes as much sense and
campaigning for it to be about crocheting or pig breeding.

Look around, darn few boaters left.

Boating related posts maybe 1 out of 10.

Average number of responses to a boating related post: 3-6
Average number of responses to a "you're a liberal a-hole" and "you're
conservative trash" exchanges: probably 60, with some running well
over 200.

Those statistics probably hold true for many years...........nothing new
Chuck. We have a dozen or so non boaters here, all normally posting
under annonymous handles and most normally throwing flames/insults
towards those not agreeing with them.

I have seen your share of (oh so subtle) insults to those opposite of

posts.

You can't even start a boating related post around here without one of the
Reggie-bots trashing it as quickly as possible.

This NG is/has been a virtual circus with some useful boating and other
information thrown in once and a while. We have our share of clowns
