The other vendor has made pretty solid sounding claims to having a
better product. I've certainly been happy with the Lifeline
batteries, but only within the context of lead-acid batteries. They
are not ideal electrical storage devices. The Odyssey batteries are
attractive because they should work with my existing systems but
provide for faster and more complete charging. They are a development
of the AGM technology that I've had good luck with and they also claim
to have up to a 12 year service life.

Thanks for that opinion; I wouldn't tune in here if I didn't
appreciate the opinions.

They both register high on the "are you sure that isn't gold-acid
technology" scale. I justified the Lifelines in the first place
because they had very fast charge rates and were expected to have a
long service life. The Odyssey batteries claim to be better on both
counts.
