I don't believe you can pass HD over S-video cables. You need
composite
video or HDMI cables. And even if the program you are watching Says
it's
broadcast in HD, Time Warner might not be sending you HD. To be sure
you
are getting "all HDTV can be" watch the OTA broadcast for free.
Someone else said the same thing but I can see a difference between
nonHD
and HD channels.
If you're watching over S-Video you can not be watching in HD.
don't bother, he is enjoy his HDTV, even if he can't tell the difference
between HD and Non HD TV.
I have to be totally honest here - HD is great and what not, but I
honestly don't see what the fuss is about.
Other than the ability to see boogers hanging out of somebodies nose,
big whoop.
It's the outdoors programs that impress me.
examples... the 'Chronicle' program from ABC in Boston. Beautiful New
England scenery. the show on Mount Washington was super.
Lately they travelled a bit...comparing other cities to Boston... the show
on Vancouver, British Columbia was great and just last week...Costa Rica.
Another one is 'Rick Stevens Travels'. His early morning footage of old
European cities are breathtaking.
