You can't even figure out the primary function of a bomber!
It's primary purpose is a weapons delivery platform.
It can also be used as a threat, in some cases making the use as a
delivery system unnecessary..
Both comments are true, but the peaceniks among us implied we never had
use
for either a threat or a platform, that the plane was a 'waste of money'.

Let's ban all weapons world wide. In future wars we'll just have name
calling attacks.
Now we have to find someone judge the "battles" and declare a winner.
