My daughter-in-law sent me a PowerPoint presentation about this guy. I
checked with Snopes and apparently, it's true. His story, as published in
a French magazine, goes as follows:

Arnold Pointer, a professional fisherman from south of Australia saved a 17
foot White Shark from certain death by freeing it after getting caught in
his fishing net. He now claims that it's been two years and the shark will
not leave him alone. She follows him everywhere when fishing, scaring all
the fish away.

He says, "Once I stop the boat she comes to me, turns on her back and lets
me pet her belly and neck. She grunts, turns her eyes and moves her fins up
and down, hitting the water happily".
