Talked to the engineer/purser. He said that it cost about $1 million a year
to keep her running. She is available for charter by the week for about the
cost of Rutu's spars, sails, rigging, winches and engine. :-)

Call it sticker shock. We haven't used more than 9 gallons a year for the
past 3 or 4, haven't used 100 gallons in any year.

And, frankly, I find it hard to believe that they're enjoying their time
on the water more than we are.
